PUBG Mobile officially terminates all service and access for Indian users

Published on

PUBG Mobile which quickly became the heart and soul of Indian mobile players was banned due to privacy concerns as it was affiliated with Chinese Corporation named Tencent.

The mobile game was banned under section 69A of the Information Technology Act, on the grounds saying that “they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”.

This deeply saddened the people who devoted their time to it. Even after the ban, the servers were kept active with a hope that the Indian Government might overrule their order and their game will be active once again.

But now as of 30th of October, players have reported that the game is now completely unplayable. A message pops up which says that the rights to publish PUBG Mobile in India will be returned to PUBG Corporation from Tencent.

This marks the shutdown of global servers for the Indian players. Players are also not able to access the website of PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. But this also showed us a glimpse of light as this makes it easier for PUBG to work on dedicated Indian servers.

We could see dedicated servers for Indian regions coming very soon.
