India’s apex Child Rights body denies permission for re-launch of PUBG Mobile in India

Three months have passed since the ban of PUBG Mobile along with 118 Chinese apps was crushed in between the conflicts of India and China as they pose a threat to the national security and privacy of the citizens of India – “they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”, said the Indian government.

But after a long 2 months, fans finally received a piece of good news on 12th November, a major official announcement from PUBG Corp – The relaunch news of PUBG mobile in India. The game website has been set up, teaser release, and several official Affairs. A few weeks back, PUBG India registered as a private limited company with the Ministry of Corporate accounts on social platforms.

But now things again look bad for PUBG Mobile as India’s top child rights body has recommended against PUBG Mobile’s relaunch in the country. Earlier, there were reports that PUBG India officials were seeking the required permissions from the government for the relaunch.

When asked about it, Kanoongo said an internal meeting was held to discuss the matter. “It was an internal meeting and prima facie, the NCPCR is not in favor of recommending such games in the country,” Kanoongo told PTI. During the meeting, it was also pointed out that the game led to the loss of many lives in the country, a senior official said. No response had been received from PUBG to queries sent by PTI.
