Amid coronavirus pandemic, the whole world is locked up inside their houses, a shocking picture from Wuhan shows thousands of people enjoying at a water park.
A picture from Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park in Wubei province shows thousands of people shoulder to shoulder without any masks partying in a water park surfaced which was taken on 15th August.
Wuhan went into a then unprecedented lockdown on 23 January – at a time when the virus had killed 17 people and affected more than 400. The city of 11 million people was entirely cut off from the rest of China, as thousands of people were over the next few months tested and placed in quarantine.
The lockdown was very strictly made to be followed by the citizens. By March, the lockdown was starting to ease. On 8 April, Wuhan’s lockdown was officially lifted.
But on 12 May, six new virus cases were recorded. The city was again made to undergo the test for the whole 11 million population. And a month later, in July, life truly started to go back to normal in most parts of China. Almost everything was working normally.
However, the people around the world have not taken it well. The picture of this pool party has received heat on social media. “A picture mocking the entire world?”, wrote a user.
