The 50-year-old rapper, DMX was admitted to White Plains hospital on April 2 following a heart attack. Sources revealed that the rapper was in critical condition.
The reason for the hospitalisation was an apparent drug overdose. DMX’s manager Nakia Walker told the New York Times on April 4 that DMX was in a “vegetative state.”
But after no news for a long time, phrases like “RIP DMX” and “Rest in Power DMX” trended globally on Twitter late Thursday night. This caused a stir in the minds of the family of DMX.
As a responseto this the rapper’s manager Steve Rifkind shared a statement on Instagram saying that the rapper is still alive and currently on life support. “Everybody, please stop with posting these rumors,” he said. “DMX is still alive. Yes, he is on life support, but please, it’s not helping anybody by having them see these false rumors. Let the family relax for a night.”
Rifkind also mentioned that the family is expected to make a statement tomorrow on 9th April.
