Electric car manufacturer Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has announced that the company has started accepting Bitcoin as an alternate mode of payment in his latest tweet. This official announcement makes Tesla the first major automaker to start accepting payments in Bitcoin in exchange for its products.
The tweet read as “You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin.” He further mentioned that the accepted Bitcoin will be retained as it is and not to be converted to fiat currency. “Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly,” he said.
CEO Elon Musk further added the ‘Pay by Bitcoin’ capability will be made available outside the US at the end of 2021.
Reacting to the above news, KSI said that he might buy a Tesla car with his huge reserve of Bitcoin.
