Reality TV star Kim Kardashian filed documents to be declared legally single amid her ongoing divorce with rapper Kanye West as per the newly surfaced reports.
Kim Kardashian filed court documents on Friday afternoon, which if agreed by a judge will lead to the separation of issues of their child custody and property from marital status trying to be legally declared as single.
According to additional information from TMZ, she is also seeking to drop the surname West which she currently shares with Kanye and their children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2. She filed for her maiden name to be restored.
She made this move just a day after her soon-to-be ex-husband made repeated public pleas to get back together with the reality star. The recent came on Thursday when the rapper dedicated his song “Runaway” to Kim during his performance at the Free Larry Hoover concert in the Los Angeles Coliseum.
During the concert while singing the lyrics, “I need you to run right back to me, baby,” he added, “more specifically, Kimberly.” This move from him was regarded as a desperate attempt to get back the star by the internet.
Kim had filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West in February after almost seven years of marriage. She cited the reason for filing to be “irreconcilable differences.”
