Podcast industry is swiftly taking over the internet with the lots influencer and celebrities hopping onto this trend. With the new entrants Karl Jacobs and Sapnap podcast, the duo managed to dethrone the number 1 spot holder Joe Rogan Experience Podcast from the charts.
The Joe Rogan Experience had been dominating the charts back since 2009 as the UFC commentators host various celebrity guests to talk everything from current events to conspiracy theory.
Seeing such success, The JRE podcast was signed by Spotify for multi year deal for more than $100 million to bring the podcast on an exclusive deal.
However the Minecraft content creator Sapnap and Karl Jacobs launched their new podcast ‘Banter’ on September 25th with popular YouTuber MrBeast appearing as their first guest to talk about everything YouTube and his backstory.
The first episode of Banter podcast managed to attract tons of attention that the newly launched show knocked Joe Rogan out of its usual top spot on the Podcast charts in the United Kingdom as well as the Unite States.
However people still think that Rogan will get back his top spot with regular episodes. But considering how easily the two YouTubers dethroned him with some ease, it could go back-and-forth for the time being.
