The most beloved and popular celebrity couple of India – Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma recently announced wonderful news which made the start of 2021 a little better.
Actress Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli welcomed a daughter, their first child today. Virat made the announcement on Twitter mentioning that mother and baby are both doing well, requested privacy for the family.
Virat wrote “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time.”
The couple announced their pregnancy back in August 2020. At that time, they had said that their baby would be born in January 2021 which turned out to be the case.
The announcement post on Instagram broke the internet with all the best wishes from Bollywood Stars and Cricket community, comment section reflected so much positivity and goodness.
Newly became father, Virat Kohli, the captain of India’s cricket team, was granted paternity leave by the Board of Cricket Control in India. He flew home from Australia towards the end of December after playing the first of a four-match Test series. The Indian team is now captained by Ajinkya Rahane in the absence of Kohli.
Earlier in an interview had announced that she was going to resume working on movies in May 2021.
