By the increasing hype of mobile competitive game, audience as well as esports players were constantly waiting for a major international event to happen, but after the sudden ban of PUBG mobile in India there was no hope of any international event happening of PUBG mobile competitive scenario.
All of these losing hopes were given a raise by the announcement of the biggest PUBG Mobile Esports Tournament of the year that is PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 (PMGC).
This exciting news of the PMGC was posted on the official Instagram handle of @esportspubgmobile .The event will kickstart from November 30th, 2021 till the grand finals of the event which will be held on the date of January 23rd, 2022.
The structure of the event will be as follows
League and League Finals are divided into 2 regions that is East and West
League: November 30th – December 19th
- 20 teams from each region
- Top 16 teams from each region will procced towards League finals
League finals: December 22nd – 24th
- 16 teams from each specific region
- Top 9 teams from East + Top 6 teams from West advance towards the Grand Finals
Grand Finals: January 21st -23rd
(Top 9 teams from East League and Top 6 teams from West League, which includes one Indian invited team)
Prize Pool
The PMGC event has an astonishing prize pool of $4,530,000 which all the participating teams try harder to grab. The prize pool further gets divided as the winning team of the tournamnet grabs $1,500,000, the first runner up team gets $600,000 and the second runner up team gets $300,000 respectively.
Many international plus Indian organizations are pumped up for battling up against each other after the last international event that is PMWL. NV-Tencent Video Team @novaesportsgg, SixTwoEight, BesiktasEsports @besiktasesports, NAVI, BTR are the fan-favorite teams to win the event, though there is no such announcement of which all teams will be there participating from the Indian region. This event will surely give a boost to the growing Indian esports community.
