Famed YouTuber Emma Chamberlain suddenly deletes her TikTok Account, reasoning it consumes her time making her lazy. Emma’s channel of over 10 million followers has vanished with just a click.
Emma Frances Chamberlain is an American YouTuber and internet personality. She won Breakout Creator in the 2018 Streamy Award. Emma included her name in Time Magazine’s ‘Time 100 Next List’. She launched a debut weekly podcast series ‘Anything Goes’ in April 2019, which won her award for ‘Best Podcaster’ at the 12th Shortly Awards.
Emma Chamberlain, the YouTube superstar was booming on the social media platform, TikTok. Her main YouTube channel has 11M subscribers, Chamberlain was close to out pass that number on her TikTok as well. Suddenly she decided to delete her 10 million followers TikTok account.
She posted a video on Instagram showing that she is deleting her account, with the caption “good riddance.” Fans of Emma were caught off guard, later Chamberlain explained the reason for deleting the TikTok on her podcast ‘anything goes’.
“I didn’t realize how bad the problem was until I cut TikTok out of my life,” she said. “As dumb as it may sound, it has been genuinely a life-changing experience”.
“It seemed like TikTok kept me entertained in the bed to the point where I would stay in bed so much longer. Within the first few days of deleting TikTok, I stopped laying in bed so much because I would get so bored. It forced me to get up and I felt like I was doing more chores.”
It seems like Emma is unlikely to return on TikTok, she is happy staying away from it. This is a good move taken by Emma, motivating her fans for not overusing social media.
