The President of the United States of America Donlad Trump has a $900 billion pandemic relief package Sunday. This ended the days of drama created over his refusal to accept the bipartisan deal that will deliver long-sought cash to businesses and individuals and avert a federal government shutdown.

The bill includes $1.4 trillion to fund the government agencies through September and contains other end-of-session priorities such as money for cash-starved transit systems and an increase in food stamp benefits.

The combined $2.3 trillion package was the result of intense negotiations, from which Trump was largely absent until he raised his concerns about the amount of earlier agreed stimulus payments to individuals.

On Sunday, Trump tweeted that “good news” was coming on the Covid relief bill, hinting towards the legislation bill that he earlier criticized. The Trump administration helped the negotiations in the stimulus efforts.

Republicans and Democrats swiftly welcomed Trump’s decision to sign the bill into law. Democrats are promising more aid to come once President-elect Joe Biden takes office, but on the other hand Republicans are using a wait-and-see strategy to the situation.

Also, Trump has taken no action on the stimulus bill that Congress approved last week. A group of bipartisan lawmakers, the “908 coalitions,” released a statement where they said that Trump must either sign the emergency relief bill, or veto it straight away so the Congress could attempt to override the veto.
