Dixie Jane D’Amelio is an American social media personality and singer known for her videos on the social media platform TikTok. D’Amelio is the older of the D’Amelio sisters. Both she and her sisters were shot to fame with TikTok.

Dixie has even launched herself a music career with the support of her millions of fans. Also her music is doing good and she has even been able to collaborate with some huge artists, like with Liam Payne on his hit Naughty List and One Whole Day with Wiz Khalifa.

Despite being so great on TikTok and having millions of fans worldwide, many people were unhappy when a news popped up that a TikTok star might find herself performing at the Grammy Awards next month.

An account named Pop News Facts claimed that Dixie would be opening the Grammys with an unexpected guest. “Daily News confirms Dixie D’amelio and Tekashi 6ix9ine to open up the annual 62nd Grammys with new single,” it read.

With such a huge claim, the tweet started getting significant attention considering the account only has 100 followers.

The online community were unhappy by the news and even brought up the topic of not nomination Weeknd but getting a TikToker to perform at Grammy’s with 6ix9ine. The worst combination we could ever see.

Later, Dixie took the matter into her own hand and decided to respond to the rumour. “LMAOOO STOP,” she wrote, quote tweeting the original tweet that started the rumors.

Later she said “I’m being set up at this point oh my god,” followed by another tweet that read “gullible is on the ceiling guys” with a series of laughing emojis.

Fans and the online community were relieved to see that the terrible collaboration at the huge music event was not actually taking place.
