Rapper DaBaby is still being punished for his homphobic comments he made when he performed at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami on July 25th, 2021. The comments were directed at people suffering from HIV, AIDS and LGBTQ+ community. Levitating Remix.
The rapper surely experienced the consequences of such an act by getting his appearance cancelled at two music festivals – Lollapalooza and Governor’s Ball.
DaBaby issued an apology after receiving major backlash on social media. However, he deleted the apology post for which people questioned his intention for issuing it in the first place. Many users accused DaBaby of issuing the statement to get his appearances in music festivals back
But now, the rapper continues to face new consequences for his actions as his recent “Levitating Remix” with Dua Lipa has been discredited from charts.
At the time when the homophobic comments were made, Dua Lipa revealed that she was ‘surprised and horrified’ by the popular rapper.
The credit was removed from the Billboard airplay charts, but is still on “Levitating” on the Hot 100 charts. It was also spotted that the DaBaby version of the song has seen a drop in performance on the charts.
