Delhi’s “Baba Ka Dhaba” owner Kanta Prasad, 81 year old, was taken to Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital after attempting suicide.
Kanta Prasad was rushed to the Safdarjung hospital on Thursday after over consumption of alcohol and sleeping pills after he was left unconscious, his son Karan stated.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Kumar Thakur rold to press, “On Thursday at 11.15 pm, information was received from the Safdarjung Hospital that Prasad was admitted there. Police reached the hospital and collected MLC (medico-legal case) which mentions the intake of alcohol and sleeping pills as the cause of unconsciousness.”
YouTuber Gaurav Wasan of Swad official YouTube channel shot a video where he showcased 80-year-old Kanta Prasad and his wife Badami Devi working real hard in these tough times but still struggling to sell their dishes.
As soon as Gaurav Wasan uploaded this video on his YouTube channel, help came from every direction for the owner of the dhaba. People formed queues in front of his shop to have a taste of his menu.
Many people even donated physically to Dhaba which caused a huge help for him. With donation numbers going even over lakhs, Kanta Prasad opened a restaurant but the crowds soon thinned and losses started piling up.
As a result he had to shut it down and come back to running his roadside dhaba with his wife.
