We all know about the importance of staying hydrated. “Stay hydrated”, “Drink plenty of water” these are the most common heard advices from our friends,family members, doctors and trainers. Water plays a very essential role in our every basic bodily functions like breathing, digestion, getting rid of toxins from the body etc. 

Human body is almost 60% water, and if you are not downing enough water – it can cause dehydration fatigue, headache, dry skin and many health problems. If the title brought you here, then maybe you are not drinking enough water. 

So, how you know that you consume sufficient amount of water everyday? Here are five signs that indicates you should start drinking more water.

Fatigue 

Dehydration can lead to fatigue. Lack of fluid in your system puts excess pressure on your heart for oxygen flow. It can cause you to experience periods of fatigue and low energy all day. If you are feeling tired and constantly sluggish it’s time to increase your water intake.

Thirst/Hunger 

Thirst and hunger are obvious signs you are dehydrated. A medical Research suggest adults who are dehydrated have a higher body weight. And, drinking plenty of water can help reduce food cravings and kill your thirst.

Constipation 

If you are not getting enough water it can cause constipation. Your stool may look dry like small lumps. These are the signs. Water plays a major role in digestion and move waste in your body. Drinking plenty of water regularly can save you from constipation.

Decreased urination

Decreased urinatiin and dark yellow urine means you have severe dehydration. It is a sign that water level in your body is low. Try drinking more water to rehydrate your body. Less urination than normal is a sign that you need to rehydrate your body.

Poor skin

Lack of water can lead to Dry skin wrinkles sagging skin etc. Hydration is the underlying cause of your poor skin. If you have a dull skin appearance its time to improve it. Drink more water for a more youthful appearance.

Make a habit of drinking water regularly and stay healthy.
