Not only us but blind people can also see in dreams. The people who are blind after birth can still see in their dreams, however, those who have been born blind cannot see in their dreams. They experience a dream differently through smell, sound, touch and other senses.

REM sleep is characterized by paralysis of the voluntary muscles that prevents you from acting out your dreams while you’re asleep. However, this paralysis can even carry over into the waking state for as long as 10 minutes.

There is a small percentage of people who claim to only dream in black and white. Research indicate 12% of people only dream in black and white.

Multiple dreams per night is no surprise. Average person dreams one to two hours every night. We can have seven different dreams per night depending on REM cycle we have.

Night owls have more Nightmares

This is something scary for night owls. I don’t mean to scare you but research published in 2011 in the journal Sleep and Biological Rhythms, revealed that night owls are more likely than their early-bird counterparts to experience nightmares.
