Social media star Tana Mongeau is now moving out form her Youtube “Storytime” hustle to the exponentially growing podcast industry with ‘Cancelled’ podcast. The star has almost given up on her YouTube channel with 5.5 million subscribers but hasn’t uploaded any video for five months.
However, her fans will get over an hour of new content weekly from their favourite content creator as she released the first episode of her all new “Cancelled” podcast on Monday.
The name of the podcast “Cancelled,” refers to her controversial status in the social media world. In a media interview with Insider, Mongeau said, “When a lot of people think Tana, they think cancelled.”
“I’ve had people call me out for whatever it is, whether it’s something minuscule like my f—ing tracks showing in my hair extensions or real s— that I need to grow on.”
The internet star kick started her first episode of the podcast with Trisha Paytas and Nessa Barrett as special guests. Mongeau mentioned that she is hoping to fill a void left by “Frenemies,” Paytas’ former podcast.
The first episode from Tana Mongeau received a positive response as it managed to reach the top spot in the Apple Music charts.
Tana Mongeau was also recently seen increasing her reach with adding Business Executive to her list of career accomplishments. She launched her own Influencer Management Division in collaboration with Unruly Agency.
