Five times welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has made a bold claim about the previously scheduled fight between YouTuber Jake Paul and Love Island star Tommy Fury now-cancelled fight.

During his conversation with TMZ, the 39-year-old fighter said that it was actually a blessing that Fury was hurt and forced out of his 18th December fight with Jake Paul because the internet was not interested to see that ‘crap.’

He said, “Nobody wants to see no f***ing Tommy Fury fight, come on now.” Tyron continued, “Now his brother is lit. But, he can’t ride the coattails of Tyson.”

Further, he admitted that Fury is an incredible boxer and has a good career ahead but as of now, he lacks the potential compared to him. He also claimed himself to be a more difficult opponent for Jake Paul.

“Of course I am, s***. That’s why he took [the Fury] fight instead. He made a double wager and then didn’t honor it because s***, why would he go back and give me the chance to finish off what I started now that I’ve been in there with him.”

This won’t be the first time Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul meeting in the ring. The pair fought earlier by going full rounds without a separation. However, the YouTuber was crowned the winner with a split decision.

Since then, Woodley has demanded a rematch with Paul, and now with the withdrawal of Tommy Fury due to chest infection and broken ribs, the welterweight champion has another chance to finish off the YouTuber.
