Social media sensation Addison Rae has recently dropped a surprises single titled ‘Obsessed.’ The music video has amazing shots directed by Diane Martel, produced by Missy Galanida, and choreographed by Calvit Hodge.
This in a way marks her transition from TikTok star to singer. The song shows Rae with a stylish outfit with groovy moves. Her peers and other stars were impressed and appreciated by the new music video.
Addison looked pretty confident about her new release. She told Vogue, “From the beginning, I wanted to make sure that I was writing my own music,” she says. “I remember jotting down lyrics when I was little and trying to figure out how to make them a song, [now] I’m learning every detail and from amazing songwriters.”
She added,”One could take it as being vainly obsessed with your self, but that’s not what I’m trying to communicate,” explains Rae. “It’s more I can love myself as much as you love me, and that’s important. There are days where I struggle, and it’s definitely a work in progress to accept who I am and give myself the love I deserve. But that message was so strong, and I wanted to communicate it [in the lyrics].”
But on the other hand, the new single received some mixed reactions from the Twitter users. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets about Addison’s first single.
On the switch side, many users did not like the new release and trolled the star.
