China’s ByteDance which is the parent company of TikTok is reportedly been in early talks with Reliance Industries Limited for an investment in now banned TikTok for making it back available for business in India.
According to the reports, the two companies began conversations late last month and have not reached a deal yet.
If Reliance Industries Limited agreed to make a deal with ByteDance we can see a comeback of the banned app. As the Indian investment will possibly solve the privacy issues of the app.
TikTok has India as its largest user base after China. The recent ban of 59 Chinese apps which included TikTok caused a huge blow on ByteDance’s revenue. After that, TikTok is also under potential ban from the United States which is also one of the biggest user bases for the app.
US President Donald Trump has also given order to ban Chinese app in a given period of time if they could not make a deal for American companies.
