A 24-year-old rapper, Tekeashi 6ix9ine (Daniel Hernandez) dropped a banger music video on YouTube “Gooba” which was highly successful and broke the record of most views within 24 hours by garnering 43 million views. Gooba also featured on top songs of Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was prisoned for racketeering, carrying a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to murder. He was released last month because of Coronavirus concerns and will stay under home confinement for few months. Post prison he has been involved in many controversial issues. He took a shot at Billboard recently stating the manipulations of charts. He mentions, “Billboard don’t like tattletales😒”
After his song Gooba debuted at No. 3 on Billboard Hot chart, controversial rapper 6ix9ine shared a video on his Instagram accusing Billboard of cheating to manipulate the results.
Dressed in all white, 6ix9ine started the video, “I want the world to know, that Billboard is a lie.” He added, “You can buy No. 1s on Billboard. “
Further, he accuses Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s team of buying plays and downloads for “Stuck With U” which debuted at No. 1 spot ahead of “Gooba.” He added “They purchased half of those things with six credit cards. When we asked where was those six credit cards linked to, Billboard said we can’t disclose that information.”
He straight away mentions in his video caption saying, “Billboard you’re a lie and corrupt. You got caught cheating and the world will know.”
“It’s all manipulated, it’s all fabricated.” he said showing the streams “Gooba” has accumulated. Then comparing the count that Billboard has used, accusing Billboard of “disqualifying” 20 million or so streams.
On his Instagram story he wrote, “Billboard YOU CHEATED. Jay-Z and Nicky Minaj were right people buy there (sic) number 1’s nothing is real you guys are frauds.”
