Tana Marie Mongeau is an American internet personality, YouTuber, musician, and model. She is popular for her “storytime” videos and similar comedy videos.
Over the last weeknd, Tyler Oakley who is an American YouTuber and activist uploaded a tweet where he called out several internet personalities. This includes Tana Mongeau, James Charles and Nikita Dragun and some others too. He claimed that these people were partying in large groups despite the new COVID-19 restrictions in California.
“if your favorite influencers are at huge house parties during a pandemic (& are dumb enough to post it on social media)… they are bad influences. unfollow them,” Oakley wrote.
Though he didn’t mention which party, it was easy to figure out as he tweeted just after a massive birthday party thrown for TikTok star Larray on Tuesday.
Erika Costell and Tana Mongeau on the party
Tana didn’t seem to care about the tweet at first, she later found herself in deeper trouble after she posted a video alongside fellow YouTube star Erika Costell at a party where they were heard yelling that they “don’t care” — which many fans took to be about social distancing guidelines.
Tana uploaded a story stressing that their comments seen in video were actually in reference to their “past drama.” She accepted that partying amid the restrictions was irresponsible and apologized for it.
“While Erika and I were referring to past drama in our video the topic no longer matters — I need to be a better example and person,” she concluded.
Erika uploaded an uplogy on Twittter where she wrote, “I understand that this came off as offensive during this time,” she wrote. “It was insensitive, careless, and stupid for me to even be at a party during this pandemic. I am truly sorry to anyone I let down or upset in any way & I fully take accountability for my actions.”
