Rising Indian rapper MC Kode aka Aditya Tiwari had recently gone missing from the national capital after posting a cryptic suicidal message on Instagram story.
The 23-year-old rapper MC Kode was traced by a team of Delhi Police in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Wednesday. He will be brought back to the capital and questioned for his actions.
The Delhi-based hip-hop rapper popularly known as MC Kode has been missing since June 1 after being called out allegedly for a 2016 video, in which he was seen making controversial remarks about the Mahabharata.
Aditya’s mother, Deepa Tiwari told The Indian Express, “I was informed by the SHO that he has been traced at a friend’s house. I think he must’ve tried to end his life but would have realised that this is not the route I should take, which is the right thing to happen.”
“I also know that he is a sensible, mature person but he was really scared and he must have been in complete darkness. In the last six-seven years, whatever he made of himself in the field of rap, established a company, got brand endorsements, he lost everything,” she added.
Talking about the bullying, trolling and death threats he has been receiving via social media she said, “They put a bounty on his head, ordered lynching, they leaked our address, people reached the place. This means that no one is secure. I wish something was devised for the abusive Twitter handles.”
