YouTuber MrBeast has been accused by former employees of creating a toxic work environment. The YouTuber has a pristine image in the eyes of all his subscribers because of his generous and helpful giveaways to the people.
The former employees for the YouTuber said that his “demeanor changed when the cameras weren’t around” and “they described a difficult work environment,” reported The New York Times.
The author of Times story, Taylor Lorenz said, “Working for a 22-year-old YouTube star isn’t going to be the most professional work environment,” told Insider.
“But if you are posturing yourself as a business leader or the next Elon Musk, you should think about the type of work culture you’re creating and what you are rewarding,” he added.
Nate Anderson who once worked for MrBeast said that the YouTuber was ‘perfectionist’ and had “unreasonable demands.” He even revealed that he received death threats from his fans for posting a video about his work experience with MrBeast.
Another ex-editor of the YouTuber Matt Turner said that he was “yelled at, bullied, called mentally r— and replaceable by MrBeast every single day.”
Jimmy Donaldson, more popularly known as MrBeast, is an American YouTuber known for his expensive stunts, challenges and giveaways. He is also the co-creator of Team Trees, which raised $22 million dollars to plant trees. As of now he has more than 61.7 million subscribers.
