Mike Tyson has hit back at critics of YouTuber Jake Paul by defending Jake Paul by saying boxing fans are witnessing ‘the changing of the guard’ and ‘these TikTok guys are part of it’.
YouTuber turned professional boxer increased his professional boxing score to 4-0 by outpointing former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley last weekend in their Showtime PPV.
Even with having such a record, Paul had been ridiculed numerous times within the boxing community for choosing fighters who have no boxing experience and calling out Canelo ALvarez and Floyd Mayweather.
Talking about the same, Mike Tyson on ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’ podcast said, “Listen, this is the deal, we’re talking from a business perspective. I don’t care if it looks goofy or funny, the money’s real, and these guys are getting knocked out. This is entertainment.
“You know, listen. I’ve been a world champion, I put them on my card right. Let’s say he’s a great world champion right now, right, and I’m giving him some points, let’s say he brings a million people, that’s a lot, I’m giving him a fair cut, right?
