YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul has recently made a bold claim saying he is “the best thing to happen to boxing in a century”.
Jake Paul currently has has a 4-0 unbeaten record in his professional career and is all set to face Love Island Reality Show star Tommy Fury on 18th of December.
He kicked off his boxing journey back in January 2020 against fellow YouTube star AnEsonGib and since then he has become a major pay-per-view amassing boxer with numerous other opponents down the line.
Ahead of his clash with Tommy next month, talked about his influence on boxing industry with Bleacher Report. He named a few big name boxer who had earlier appreciated his work in boxing industry.
“I’m the best thing that’s happened to boxing in a century, period,” he claimed. “The legends would agree. The Anthony Joshuas, the Mike Tysons, the Manny Pacquiaos, the Tyson Furys. They’ve all said what I’m doing for boxing is a breath of fresh air,” he added.
“I think that debate started about a year ago – is Jake Paul good for boxing? I have silenced that, and I don’t think there’s anybody on the other side of the equation who thinks I’m bad for boxing.”
After his win over former welterweight champion Ben Askren and UFC fighter Tyron Woodley, he silenced all the people who did not believe in his fighting skills.
