Elon Musk who is the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla Inc. made some official announcement which is well received by the people. The ‘Tesla Tequila’, as was promised by Tesla CEO, was unveiled on the company’s official website for $250, and now, it’s sold out!
Pictures on the official website showed a sleek, lightning bolt-shaped bottle, a lot different than what Musk teased when he touted the Tequila. But the lightning bolt also happens to be the official symbol of the company.
Started as a joke in 2018, has now become a reality and is already been sold out from the official website.
In 2018, Tesla CEO Elon Musk had tweeted that Tesla was filing for bankruptcy, and shared a photo of himself “found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by ‘Teslaquilla’ bottles”.
He later shared a tweet with a ‘visual approximation’ of the bottles after people asked him to start selling ‘Teslaquilla’. Musk also mentioned that his company is serious about this venture and has even filed for a Trademark application.
Tesla Inc. has a history of selling products that are completely unrelated to their production. In the past, Tesla has sold hates, flamethrowers, and even limited edition shorts. Now Musk has retweeted the two-year-old tweet about selling tequila with a reply that had just a hug emoji showing the accomplish of the Tesla Tequila project.
Netizens were very happy and the whole stock of the Tesla Tequila was sold out. Each bottle is priced at $250. As of now, the Tequila bottle is only shipped in select regions of the United States.
As per Tesla’s online shop, Tesla Tequila deliveries are available in the following states: “Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.”
