A 34 year old drug dealer who impersonated Conor McGregor, Mark Nye has been jailed for three years. The lookalike was pulled over by the police two months ago in Stanwell, the police found many business cars in the name of the notorious champion. To boost his drug dealings, he has the card under the name of ‘McGregor Enterprises.’
According to the reports, Nye was arrested after he tired to get rid of two mobile phones and class A drugs which he possessed at the time. Nye even identified himself as ‘Conor’ when the police officials stopped him.
In a statement from the officials, Surrey Police wrote “A drug dealer who tried to impersonate a famous MMA fighter has been sentenced to 2 years and 9 months behind the bars. Mark Nye,34, of yeoman Drive in Stanwell pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs; driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.”
“Mark was stopped by officers in Stanwell on February 11 and was detained after trying to discard class A drugs and the two mobile phones he had on him. Mark gave officers false details upon being stopped, telling officers his name was ‘Conor’.”
Nye allegedly used McGregor’s identity to gain advantage for the business. Officers who analyzed the confiscated phones, found hundreds of messages in relation to his drug-dealing activity.
