At Variety’s Hitmakers Awards on Saturday Lana arrived to accept the prestigious honour wearing a revealing frock from popular fast-fashion brand Shein, many of the people sharing screenshots of an identical dress priced about $18 on the Shein website.
The Award function was attended by famous stars like BTS, Steven Victor, Billie Eilish and Finneas etc. The red carpet for the Award Ceremony was hosted by Marc Malkin, Angelique Jackson, Elizabeth Wagmeister and Clayton Davis which began at 11:30 a.m. PT, with the award ceremony starting at 1 p.m. PT. Variety’s Hitmakers Award was streamed live on Amazon Music’s Twitch Page.
Del Rey was honoured by the award for Artist of the Decade while receiving the award on stage she joked by saying “I’m grateful for all the criticism — I get a lot,”.
Del is well known for hitting the red carpet in surprisingly accessible attire, no one will ever forget when she showed up at the 2020 Grammys in a silver beaded gown. But her recent attire has made her fans divide, while some are mocking her and others appreciating her young and beautiful look.
