Controversial YouTuber David Dobrik has announced that he will be hosting a brand new travel show called Discovering David Dobrik on Discovery+ streaming service platform.
Discovery+ have given the cancelled YouTuber the chance to make himself up with a new travel series starring himself and featuring several of his friends from the Vlog Squad, his YouTube group.
As of now there is no financial information provided on the deal, but it’s sure that Dobrik is getting handsomely paid for this. According to the synopsis of the show, we will see Dobrik and his friends go to a new country every episode. According to Forbes, the show is set to have a 10-episode and will debut later in 2021.
“It’s everyone’s dream to be able to travel the world with friends and now I get to do that,” Dobrik says. “I can’t wait.”
Prior to this, David was not able to leave the States as he was an immigrant protected by DACA. In case he left the country, he would not be allowed to return for the next 10 years.
The YouTuber was born in Slovakia and moved to Chicago when he was just six years old. Since then he has not held a visa however with the new travel series he was granted a green card.
With this he surprised his friends with a trip to his home country Slovakia, where he met his grandma and extended family after 10 years.
