Lionel Messi’s tissue paper used to wipe his tears during his Barcelona farewell news conference has reportedly been put up on auction by an anonymous seller for a whopping $1.3 million.
The tissue was used by the Argentinian striker to wipe his tears and nose. The simply used tissue paper would be just another piece of waste ready to be thrown in the trash bin.
However, an unidentified person purportedly picked up the used tissue handed over to Messi by his wife and posted an ad online auctioning it for an exponentially inflated price of $1 Million.
According to the seller, the tissue included Messi’s genetic DNA though could possibly be used to clone a football player similar to him. At the moment no one knows if science supports this claim.
The anonymous seller justified the humongous price tag with it having Messi’s “genetic material”. The advertisement was put up on Meikeduo, an international e-commerce website, selling it for a price tag of USD1 million.
